APPLICATION for photojournalist BOLOGNA 2016

This call is targeted at photojournalist.
The candidates are required to submit a 10 photos portfolio together with a brief presentation of the project and a biography (including personal dates, name, surname, email address, phone and cell phone number, website and the section of the prize they are applying for).
Both the text and the biography shall not exceed 1000 characters, blanks included and films shall be named as following: name_surname_bio &/or text.

Photographs shall be low definition files (2000 pixel Long Edge), and files shall be named as following: name_surname_number (1 of the 10 photos, in the order chosen from the photographer).
Imagine’s captions are to be included in a separate file named as following: name_surname_dida1 (from 1 to 10 according to the order chosen by the photographer).
The candidates will find the email address to which the application shall be submitted on www.mediterraneofotografia.eu, the website related to the contest.
Object of the email must be the following: Candidatura Mediterraneo 2016 BOLOGNA: Name Surname.

Deadline for the submission: 20 March 2016.

The winners will be selected from the jury, its members are published on www.mediterraneofotografia.eu on the page related to 2016 edition of “Mediterraneo: fotografie tra terre e mare”. The decisions of the jury are final.
By the end of March 2016 the results of the selection will be communicated to the winners only. They will receive and will be invited to sign a consent form in order to exhibit their work.
The exhibition of the selected photos will take place in Bologna and the event will be published on the website, in the section dedicated to Bologna.
The winners will also be informed about the date and location of the opening of the exhibition they will take part to.
The effective number of the exposing photos will be agreed with the project curator.

The photo prints and the support chosen by the photojournalist – all borne by the participants – shall have a maximum size of 60 cm Long Edge, including the support for the exposition.
The photos shall be hand-delivered or sent (sending costs are also borne by the participants) to the addresses by the date they will get in case of selection of the project.
The Cunto Associazione di Promozione Sociale, the association organizing and promoting the contest, established conventions with national laboratories and studios in Bologna for printing, technical support and transport to the location of the exhibition and if necessary will be at disposal in regard to any issues that may be raised. The cost of travelling, accommodation and meals are borne by the photographer.

The participation to the edition 2016 is free of charge.
The participants shall present only projects related to very topical issues.

APPELLO alla CANDIDATURA di fotoreporters BOLOGNA 2016

L’invito a partecipare è aperto a fotoreporters che possono inviare un progetto espositivo di dieci fotografie accompagnato da un testo ed una biografia (che includa anche i dati quali nome cognome email telefono cellulare sito web, sezione a cui si partecipa), entrambe di 1000 battute al massimo, spazi inclusi e devono essere così nominate: nome_cognome_bio &/o testo.
Per le fotografie vengono richiesti file in bassa definizione (lato lungo 2000 pixel) che vanno così nominati: nome_cognome_numero da 1 a 10 delle fotografie inviate secondo la sequenza scelta dal fotografo. Le didascalie vanno inserite in un file a parte e dovranno essere così nominate: nome_cognome_dida1 (da 1 a 10 secondo la sequenza delle foto scelte). Sul sito legato all’evento, www.mediterraneofotografia.eu, i fotografi ed i fotoreporters interessati potranno trovare le email cui inviare il materiale. Oggetto delle email dovrà essere necessariamente questo: Candidatura Mediterraneo 2016 BOLOGNA: Nome Cognome.

Termine ultimo dell’invio del materiale è il 20 marzo 2016.

Un’apposita selezione sarà effettuata, a giudizio insindacabile, dalla giuria la cui composizione è pubblicata su www.mediterraneofotografia.eu alla pagina dell’edizione 2016 di “Mediterraneo: fotografie tra terre e mare”. Entro fine marzo 2016 sarà comunicato ai soli fotografi scelti e partecipanti alle esposizioni l’esito della selezione. I progetti fotografici scelti, saranno distribuiti tra gli spazi espositivi individuati e segnalati sul sito alla pagina dedicata a Bologna.
Le esposizioni dei reportages scelti si terranno a Bologna. Ai fotografi selezionati insieme alla comunicazione dell’esito della selezione, sarà inviata una liberatoria da sottoscrivere, e sarà data indicazione dello spazio e della data d’inaugurazione dell’esposizione cui parteciperanno a Bologna.
Le stampe fotografiche e il supporto scelto dal fotoreporter – a totale carico del partecipante – dovranno avere la dimensione massima, per il lato lungo, di cm 60, dimensione che include il supporto scelto dal fotoreporter stesso. Le fotografie dovranno essere portate a mano o recapitate, sempre a cura del partecipante, agli indirizzi ed entro la data che verranno forniti solo in caso di selezione del progetto. Sono a carico del singolo fotografo le spese di viaggi, vitto e alloggio.
Lo Cunto Associazione di Promozione Sociale, che organizza e promuove l’iniziativa, ha definito convenzioni con alcuni laboratori sia di Bologna che Nazionali per la stampa, il supporto e il trasporto verso la città, e, per chi ne avesse necessità, ne darà prontamente riferimento su richiesta dei diretti interessati.

La partecipazione all’edizione 2016 è GRATUITA. I fotoreporters devono attenersi alla presentazione di progetti legati alla stretta attualità.
